Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Friday unveiled the first completed border wall project that was constructed as a result of President Trump’s push to further secure the U.S.-Mexico border. “Walls work, it’s not my opinion,” Nielsen said at the ceremony near downtown Calexico, a rural border town of approximately 38,000 residents. “It’s not a tag line. It’s a fact.”

New Jersey Health Commissioner Dr. Shereef Elnahal announced on Twitter on Sunday that a ninth child has died from a respiratory virus that struck patients at a Passaic County healthcare facility. “Deeply saddened to report a 9th death from the Wanaque outbreak. This child was among the cases we were tracking,” Elnahal tweeted. “Still no new cases since 10/22.”

A strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake has hit in the Pacific off the coast of El Salvador. The U.S. Geological Survey says the tremor occurred about 15 miles under the surface. The epicenter was 60 miles southwest of the coastal town of Acajutla. There are no early reports on damage.

So where do we stand? Right now TCI=4.6×1010 W. That means the top of Earth’s atmosphere is approximately 10 times cooler than it was during the record-setting Solar Max of 1957-58 (TCI=49.4×1010 W). The record low value for TCI, 2.1×1010 W, was set during the Solar Minimum of 2009. It’s still not that cold in the thermosphere, although we’re getting close.

Employees have reportedly been paid to delete negative product reviews, and sellers can pay to get the email addresses of customers who left negative reviews so the sellers can offer discounts or free products in exchange for positive reviews.
