Rapture Ready News 31 Mar 2019Published on: March 31, 2019 by RRadmin7 Israel reopens Gaza commercial crossing in sign of easing tensions
Israel reopened its commercial crossing with the Gaza Strip on Sunday but kept military reinforcements deployed on the volatile frontier, a day after a smaller than expected Palestinian protest along the border. Gaza medical officials said four Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire during demonstrations on Saturday marking the first anniversary of the “Great March of Return” protests. Former Mayor of London: It’s not antisemitic to hate Jews of Israel
The notorious anti-Zionist former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone said last week that it is not antisemitic to hate Israeli Jews, during a rant in which he said “cooperations” were spreading lies about antisemitism in the UK Labour Party to prevent its leader Jeremy Corbyn becoming prime minister. Livingston made his comments…during a speech he gave last week to the Labour Against the Witch-hunt organ…

3-31-19 Daily Dig

Daily Dig for March 31Fulton J. Sheen
A dying man asked a dying man for eternal life; a man without possessions asked a poor man for a kingdom.…In the divine plan it was a thief who was the escort of the King of kings into paradise. If our Lord had come merely as a teacher, the thief would never have asked for forgiveness. But since the thief’s request touched the reason of his coming to earth, namely, to save souls, the thief heard the immediate answer. “I promise thee, this day thou shalt be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). It was the thief’s last prayer, perhaps even his first. He knocked once, sought once, asked once, dared everything, and found everything. When even the disciples were doubting and only one was present at the cross, the thief owned and acknowledged him as Savior.

3-31-19 Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer for March 31Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt
We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20, NIVLord our God, we turn our faces to you and plead with you to come to us earthly and often tormented people. May we find strength in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom redemption is promised to us all. May your kingdom at last be revealed and everything change for the better even though we do not see it yet. May we always honor your name above all others, for you are our Father and we want to hold fast to your grace that lets us call you Father. In our troubled times we want to have enduring faith that you can bring a new time when good shall at last emerge from all the distress. Grant that every broken and needy person may experience your help, your grace, and your salvation, and may know that these always…

3-31-19 Today in the Word

The Book of 2 Chronicles
Sunday, March 31, 2019 | 2 Chronicles 36
King T’Challa was the rightful king of the fictional nation of Wakanda. But a usurper, Killmonger, appeared to kill the good king and rule the land with vengeance, hatred, and a thirst for world dominance. The people of Wakanda were resigned to their bitter fate, but King T’Challa—the Black Panther—was not in fact dead and returned to claim his throne. Wakanda, filled with hope and gratitude for deliverance, determines to help other nations build a better world under the leadership of their true king.
The final chapter of 2 Chronicles recounts the sad end of Judah’s final kings. One by one they fall prey to the external enemies of Egypt and Babylon and the internal sins of rebellion against God. But even in this dark chapter, notice three grace notes shining through.
First, God kept His promise to Josiah to delay His judgment—but now He was fulfilling His word given through the prophetess Huldah (34:22–28). Se…

3-31-19 Daily Devotion

March 31, 2019 The Trustworthy Character of God 2 Samuel 7:21-22 Whom do you trust? It isn’t easy to find many people who are true to their word. At some point, we all learn the hard way that anyone other than almighty God can disappoint us. Let’s look at the Lord’s character to discover why He can be trusted. • He is the one true God. Back in Old Testament times, it was common for people to actually carve and worship a false god. Today, it is more typical to idolize something unseen, such as wealth, power, fame, or relationships. These can consume our passion, money, and time—and in the end leave us fruitless and empty. Jehovah, on the other hand, is alive and real, ready to be intimately involved in our lives. • God is truth, and He is always faithful (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 10:13). Unlike sinful man, the Lord is trustworthy—and everything that He says will happen comes to pass. Our sovereign God has all power and is in control of every situation. • Christ loves us unconditionally…

Betrayed! Few Know it Happened (Part 2 of 4) :: By Ronda LanePublished on: March 29, 2019 by RRadmin7Category:General Articles In part one of this series (at this link), we briefly delved into one of the hundreds of betrayals made against the US citizenry in a recent bill which passed Congress on 2-14-2019. The bill is called: “HJ Res. 31 – 116th Congress, Consolidated Appropriations Act 2019.” Here is the link to the PDF copy of the bill, which we will continue to discuss today: In part one, we examined the open-border/amnesty provision within that bill. Please read part one first, otherwise it will be hard to follow along here in part two. Today we are going to get into the laws enacted in this bill that prohibit the building of a wall (or any type of barrier) along much of the southern border. And we’ll delve into the numerous ways Congress has tied the hands of Homeland Security (and all its departments, such as: ICE, Border Patrol, et al). In part three, we’ll briefly investigat…

3-31-19 Theology is Not a Hobby

MARCH 28, 2019 Theology Is Not a Hobby Article by J.A. Medders Pastor, Tomball, Texas One of the greatest dangers for studious Christians is loving the study of God more than God himself. We love books. We love to love God with our minds. We should. So did the apostle Paul, who asked Timothy to bring his cloak andhis books (2 Timothy 4:13). God commands us to love him with our minds (Matthew 22:36–37). “Real theology doesn’t keep theology as the apple of its eye — it’s enthralled with Christ.”
