The U.S. Department of Justice requires CGTN to register as a foreign agent of China.

The vote came after a week of deliberation in China’s largely rubber-stamp legislature, the National People’s Congress, and is referred to as the decision to “establish and enhance the legal framework and enforcement mechanisms for national security” in Hong Kong. The law allows state-security agencies from mainland China to operate in Hong Kong, overriding the authority of Hong Kong’s local government and allowing for China to more effectively punish political dissent, according to Fox Business.

It is astounding to me, that after all the racial tensions of the past decade, that any police officer, black or white, in any police department in America, could do what police officers did in the death of George Floyd as they were arresting him. Even more shocking still is that the officers involved were fired, I think they should have been arrested. If you can’t trust the police, who are sworn to ‘protect and serve’, then peace in America is impossible. Maybe at this point, it’s impossible anyway.
