Calloused Hands and Hearts! - By Don Twobears - http://www.raptureready.com/2017/10/13/calloused-hands-and-hearts/
In this article, I would like to discuss some startling Facts, that far too few are taking to heart - that is, unless you are a Family member of one of the lost. To begin with, I would like to use a very small list of examples:
1) Las Vegas Shooting with 59 dead and 527 wounded (World News)
2) 714,000 Abortions so far this year in the United States (U.S. Abortion Clock. Org)
3) 112 people died in the Largest String of 4 Hurricanes (New York Times)
4) 230 Dead in Mexican Earthquake (The Guardian)
As of yet, they are still trying to figure out if there was more than one shooter in Vegas. The Abortion issue, in my opinion, is still Homicide; killing someone after thinking about it is Premeditated Murder. Also, I would be willing to admit, those numbers will never go down. What a Society that kills an innocent baby to keep from being annoyed, and yet the Lord God Almighty knows everything about them and the circumstances!
Just wondering ya'll... four Hurricanes, one right after the other, killing 112 people... . Do you get the feeling that the Lord God is trying to get our Attention? Then you can add those killed in that Mexican Earthquake to the total. Are you beginning to see and feel what I am? And we could go on and on to include the things happening in Africa (Boco Haram), or maybe the atrocities in so many European Countries with Islamic Terrorism. And never should we forget all those killed in the Middle East fighting. And the numbers keep going up and up! The Insanity erodes the masses, and then we wonder why we never hear of these or those over there...somewhere...when we never know our own "Hearts are calloused?"
We have not even added the regular Murders (Homicides) of all kinds, the Suicides, the Road Rage and other road accidents, or the accidents of all other types that just sort of happen. I must say, those are on the increase, but does anyone really care? Calloused? Ya think?! The vast majority of young people run around with the attitude that they will live forever. No one wants to stop and think, could "I" be next? Could this happen to ME today, tonight? And so as we look down this long road ahead, do we think it is possible that the Lord God would come looking for ME? Most anyone standing on Train Tracks, Hearing a Train coming, would run for cover...right? Then if a Hurricane is on its way to your locale, don't you think it would be a good idea to get out of the way? How many do not?
If we are so Educated, so wonderfully intelligent, why are these things happening? Come on now; I am not the only one wondering the exact same thing here...alright? There are a few factors not mentioned thus far, and you may find them interesting as well.
2 Timothy 3:1-7 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
For a moment, look at each and every description in the passage above. Now look at all those situations and ask yourself, do they apply there? Do ya think? And so then, we hear through the News Outlets, people wondering why this or that took place, or why them? Hello! It's been in the Holy Word of God, the Bible, for better than 4700 years. Oh...I see! That would never happen to you...right? That is until it does happen to you. Here's another one - the answer:
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Again, that has been in the Bible for better than 4700 Years. Gasp...the answer has always been there!
John 14 6:5-7 "Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."
Yet another answer to your most pressing question. All these things having taken place, and you now have the answer as to why and by whose hand. Interestingly enough, how many will now raise their fists and wail at the Lord God? And they wonder why they say we humans are Oxymorons.
You might find yourself saying, "Well...it's too restrictive, it's too old; it doesn't apply to me; It will curb my having fun; it's 'Old-Timey;' I don't understand it;" and so many more. I am simply wondering what the Lord God is going to say to you when you stand before HIM, awaiting your Judgment? Just so you know, there are only two ways to go - Heaven and Hell. What is your destination going to be? Trust me, my Friends; there will never be any room for being Half-Hearted about it either. This is one of those times when you are fully on-board or you ain't!
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe in HIS Holy Word, the Bible - every single word of it. I KNOW it came from HIS Lips to my eyes and ears, because HE Loved me first! That is the end of it, and it would be the end of it for everyone as well. Problem is this: Do you want to live your life Vicariously, hoping nothing ever happens to you? And then, what about your Eternal Life? Oh, you don't believe in that either? That's okay; just wait till your last day, your last breath, and your last heartbeat. Problem is, that will then be too late! Now what?
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
I use the King James version of the Bible and all emphasis is mine.
