Knesset passes law to prevent early release for terrorists
The Knesset passed a law to prevent the early release of convicted terrorists on Tuesdays night. “A reduced sentence is a privilege that terrorists are not worthy of receiving,” said MK Anat Berko, one of the Knesset members who proposed the legislation. The legislation will stop terrorists from being released after two-thirds of their sentences, a privilege given to other inmates who demonstrate remorse during their time served.
