Every Question Does Indeed Have an Answer! :: By Don Twobears

Do you have problems in your life? Are you happy or are you something else, a little less than happy? We’re so busy pondering what we think are big questions, giving ourselves over to what we Want rather than what we Need. Does this sound strange to you? Or perhaps it hits home. Don’t feel like the “Ol’ Lone Ranger,” ‘cause you ‘ain’t’ alone in that.
I know many people that have such problems, and I also know that I was once one of them. Trust me, it has nothing to do with your eyesight; your eyes are just fine. The real question is how about “The Intent of your Heart?” No, my Friends, it’s not the heart that is beating inside your chest. “The Intent of your Heart” is about a thought you had and how you decided to act on that thought. Believe it or not, that is the area the Lord pays so much attention to…in you! Again, believe it or not:
Jeremiah 17:9 tells us “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Wow! If the Lord God says this about us… that’s most profound! Yet that is the center of the target… that’s you and me. So if you’re unhappy, whose fault is that? Don’t you hate it when the Holy Word of God places the blame right where it deserves to be? And yet, my Friends, that is the exact truth of the matter.
“Well… if I had that job, I would be making more money; then I wouldn’t have the problems that I have.” Are you absolutely sure of that? Money has never solved a single thing. Stop and look at the most wealthy people in the cemetery. It didn’t change their situation any. Most never realize that money creates more and more problems; the more you have, the worse off you get! So it must be something more than money… right?
Let’s look at this way: For sure we are not able to see into the future; therefore, we HOPE that our choice fixes whatever our problem is right now. Am I not correct? We tend to look at our past, and we look at the past of others; and then we think… I will go in this direction so I don’t repeat their mistakes. Then we see we have created a whole new set of problems for ourselves that we never saw coming. Oops! (Grumble…Grumble).
What we need is someone that can see into the future and guide us in the right direction… right? It’s that, or we can continue to make poor choices and make that anthill even bigger.
“I want a bigger house, better cars, a bigger bank account…and then…I will be…WHAT? More money, more bills and even tougher bills, more decisions—and it all becomes such a headache! The responsibility increases and you want to make sure no one is able to rob you of all that money. Then the day comes along that you die, and someone else spends all the money you worked so hard to acquire.
Life sure is difficult. Can you say, “I am so weary, so tired of all of this!”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
That is the answer to our problems, and it is found in a book that is better than 4,700 years old. In other words, it has been around for us a very long time. So the question is then, how many times have we picked up the Bible, God’s Holy Word to us, and read it? Every single problem we could ever have is in that book, AND it has the answers to them. Wow! What a concept… right?
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
Of course, my Friends, we must read the Word of God with all sincerity and with trust that the Lord will perform HIS Perfect Will in us. In other words, we must give up what we ‘want’ for what HE knows we ‘Need.’ That is the answer to the problems. “Not our Will…But HIS Perfect Will.”
If we do not understand this and make it a daily practice in our lives, we will fail at life— and we will fail miserably!
So again, we find ourselves wishing for someone that can see the future to come along and give us rest. We find we are weary in this life, because we never understood that this life is to make one decision. That decision is to follow Jesus Christ…or not.
Let me say this: follow anything or anyone besides Jesus Christ…and you’d better hope and pray that you’re happy… because Eternity is a very long time! And your Eternity will be in Hell and the Lake of Fire. Think about it, y’all.
Mark 8:34-38 “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
Well, that answers the questions about this life and even that of money. If it isn’t Jesus Christ, then this life and your spirit is a waste of time. Or do you have a different explanation for the passage above? Trust me, my Friends; that passage of Scripture above is bare-to-the-bone, straight up, straightforward and to the point!
One day, you’re going to ask yourself, “Why is this life so difficult, filled with so much sorrow, so tough and unrelenting?” I have the answer for you:
James 4:1-6 “From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”
There’s your answer! It’s written in black and white and in every language. Jesus Christ has ALWAYS been the answer…to every single problem. Take a few moments every day and seek HIM. The passages of Scripture above are NO Lie. They are the absolute Truth.
The question will always be what will you do regarding Jesus Christ?
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
I use the King James Version of the Bible and all emphasis is mine.
