Daily Prayer for November 30 Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt Shout for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious...Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind! Psalm 66:1–2, 5, NIV Lord our God, let your miracles be done among us, and bless us through your deeds. Bless us in Jesus Christ, the Savior of so many people. May your kingdom come to us and at last bring the great miracles that carry out your will and that do what is pleasing to you. Lord God, Father in heaven, we praise you! In you we live, in you we believe, in you we hope, in you we want to live day by day and hour by hour. May your name be honored among us, for you are our God and the God of all the world. Let your light shine among all people so that many millions and whole nations may glorify your name, for in the last days the nations shall come and worship you. So protect and bless us today and in the coming time, and again and again let something happen to bring

11-30-20 Daily Dig

Daily Dig: The Coming of Advent Karl Rahner Every year we celebrate the holy season of Advent, O God. Every year we pray those beautiful prayers of longing and waiting, and sing those lovely songs of hope and promise. Every year we roll up all our needs and yearnings and faithful expectation into one word: “Come!” And yet, what a strange prayer this is! After all, you have already come and pitched your tent among us. You have already shared our life with its little joys, its long days of tedious routine, its bitter end. Could we invite you to anything more than this with our “Come”? Could you approach any nearer to us than you did when you became the “Son of Man”? In spite of all this we still pray: “Come.”

11-30-20 Today in the Word

THANKFUL FOR THE GOSPEL Monday, November 30, 2020 | Acts 28:1–31 November 2020 Today in the Word Daily Devotional SAFE AND SOUND We have come to the end of the book of Acts but not to the end of Paul’s story. We have been given a realistic view of life in the early church. We have heard the gospel message as preached by the apostles. And we have been encouraged by the power of the gospel to save! When Paul arrives “safely on shore” at Malta (v. 1), the islanders treated him with reverence and respect, although some of their notions about him were misguided (v. 6). Once in Rome, Paul was a prisoner again, living under house arrest (v. 16). The first thing Paul did was to present his case to the local Jewish leaders. The reason was probably twofold. First, this was simply Paul’s normal practice. He always began his evangelistic work with the Jewish people. Second, it may have been advantageous to his case. Since the complaint against him had to do with matters of Jewish belief, it wo

11-30-20 Daily Devotion

November 30, 2020 God Is in Control Psalm 103:19-22 In today’s psalm, David discusses a fundamental attribute of God: His sovereignty. This means God has complete authority and control over all human beings and every aspect of the universe. It also means that “luck” and “good fortune” have no place in a discussion about Him. And because God is good, we can have full confidence in His absolute and loving control over every aspect of our existence. When we trust in the Father’s sovereignty, we stand on two assurances. The first is that He is intimately involved in our daily life. No matter what, He never stops providing, protecting, and caring for every believer. He knows what we need for today and tomorrow. The second is that the Lord will work every circumstance for our benefit—without exception! When situations are more demanding, our confidence may waiver, but Scripture promises “that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called ac

Rapture Ready End Times News 30 Nov 2020 Published on: November 30, 2020 by RRadmin7 No evidence coronavirus has mutated to become more infectious A large new study, led by a team of geneticists from University College London and published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Communications, has investigated over 10,000 mutations to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and concluded there currently does not appear to be any variant that is more infectious or transmissible. Kim Jong Un Is Reportedly Executing People For Not Following COVID-19 Protocols North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is allegedly taking extreme measures to fight the spread of coronavirus in his country, including executing at least two people, according to reports. 11-30-20 The Sovereignty of God Over 2020

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD OVER 2020 Andrew Menkis Wednesday, 25 November 20 “God has a plan.” Has anyone ever said that to you? Perhaps something didn’t work out the way you wanted, and someone told you not to lose heart because God has a plan. Maybe someone has said this phrase to you when you were suffering and in pain. Or, as you grieve a loss somebody said, “God has a plan.” Do these words bring comfort? In my experience they often don’t. It doesn’t comfort me to hear that God planned for me to suffer. Often, I don’t find comfort in knowing that God planned my life. I want to know why he has allowed me to suffer. I want to know why God has allowed not just me but also the world to experience so much suffering, sickness, injustice, evil, and death. The past year has given us more than enough awful situations and events to ask, “Why, God?” Why did God plan for COVID-19 to sweep the globe taking lives and crushing economies? Why did God plan for Ahmaud Arbery to be chased down

11-30-20 Still Thankful

Daily Devotion: Still Thankful - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ —1 Corinthians 11:23–24 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/still-thankful/ - Listen If you knew bad things were about to happen, would you still give thanks? Jesus did. He gave thanks, knowing that He was about to look into the throat of Hell and bear the sins of the world. The Bible tells us, “The Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me’” (1 Corinthians 11:23–24 NKJV). Jesus knew the future. He knew what lay ahead for Him would not be easy or pleasurable. He knew that no one would

11-30-20 Foolishness Revisited

Foolishness Revisited :: By Dennis Huebshman Published on: November 22, 2020 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles Just about a year ago, I posted a message referencing 1 Corinthians 1:18-19; “For the word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing; but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Going to verse 25, “For the power of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” (any emphasis mine) Since that message was posted, the world has seen a rapid acceleration toward the New World Order coming forth, and subsequently, the anticipated appearing of their satanic leader – the final antichrist. He hasn’t been able to appear yet, and is being restrained as given in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7; “And you know what is restraining him now [Holy Spirit], so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Onl

11-30-20 End of Life Care

End of Life Care :: By Rob Pue Published on: November 22, 2020 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles It’s very sad when you see someone wasting away due to their own poor choices in life. Quite often nowadays, I see reports in the news about people being arrested for their 5th, 6th, 7th (or more) drunken driving offense. And we’ve all seen mug shots of those arrested on drug charges… and the photos showing the progression of someone that took the one-way downward spiral using heroin or Methamphetamine. Those images are haunting. They begin with a young, happy, vibrant, bright-eyed, healthy young man or woman, and each one that follows becomes more and more disturbing. In the end, we see an empty shell of a human being who’s lost their hair, their teeth, their soul. Their skin has become a ghostly gray, their eyes sunken in; they look like walking skeletons. What follows is either death — from the drugs themselves (or often from suicide) — or torturous drug withdrawal and years in pris

11-30-20 Study Through Romans Part 22

Study Through Romans: Lesson 22 :: By Sean Gooding Published on:  June 9, 2020  by  RRadmin7   Category: General Articles ,  Sean Gooding Chapter 8:1-8  Gods’ Work in You and I “ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.  3  For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,  4  that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. “ 5  For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.  6  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life a

11-30-20 Softly and Tenderly

Softly and Tenderly :: By Dennis Huebshman Published on:  June 9, 2020  by  RRadmin7   Category: General Articles “But in your hearts, honor Christ the Lord as Holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the  Hope  that is in you; yet doing it with  gentleness and respect , having a good conscience so that when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior  in Christ  may be put to shame” (1 Peter 3:15-16; any emphasis mine). Theodore Roosevelt had a policy, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” He was advocating non-aggression, but was prepared to back it up with severe action if required. All during the arrest, physical abuse and the terrible death by crucifixion, Jesus could have lashed out and destroyed all involved with just a word. He even gave a stern rebuke to Peter who had cut off the ear of the high priest’s slave. Matthew 26:52-54; “Then Jesus said to Him, put your sword back in its place. For all who take the sw

11-30-20 When Believers Turn Away

Daily Devotion: When "Believers" Turn Away  - by Greg Laurie -  www.harvest.org Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. -1 Timothy 4:1   How can someone be a Christian and then one day say they're not?   It's a difficult question because we don't know whether they were Christians to start with. Just because someone makes a profession of faith doesn't mean they're necessarily a Christian.   But maybe a question like that concerns us because we wonder, "Am I next? Am I going to abandon my faith?"   Here's the answer: that is entirely up to you.   Let's remember that one of the signs of the last days is that some will fall away from the faith. The apostle Paul wrote, "Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will fo

11-30-20 Political Prosopagnosia

Daily Jot: Political Prosopagnosia   - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com   I suffer from a mild form of prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness. For as long as I can remember, I have had trouble consistently recognizing faces. There were times in my career that I would have to take high ranking politicians around a room and introduce them to people I had only met minutes before. In preparing, I would match the name with a shirt or dress. That sufficed. Prosopagnosia can cause a good bit of anxiety when you are meeting a friend at an airport that you haven't seen for a long time. Often I would stand there with a smile on my face hoping that person will recognize me first. I wonder what all the people think of my friendly smile. This inability to recognize faces spills over into other things as well.   My wife has spent years teaching me the difference between plants and weeds because there are often such similarities that I end up "weed wacking" both the weed a
