God’s Will, Will Be Done :: By Grant Phillips Published on: October 25, 2020 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles, Grant Phillips As stated in my last article, the upcoming election (November 3rd, 2020) is the most important election we will face in this nation. At the least, it is the most important in the last 160 years. Who will win the election? Who will be the next President of the United States of America? In order for President Trump to be re-elected, he will have to defeat: Democrat (Socialist) Party A few RINOs (Republican in Name Only) Most of the news media Social media Most of the entertainment industry Apostate churches Foreign interference Et al It seems that conservatives and true Christians are a minority in this country, until we consider that one on God’s side is a majority. Against all odds, Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election against Hillary Clinton, supposedly a sure shoo-in. God, and no other, gave us four years of His grace. Now the question burns in our brains, “Will God allow us another four years of grace?” Let us not forget that some of the Senate races are probably just as important. Just two examples: Mitch McConnell vs. Amy McGrath in Kentucky and Lindsey Graham vs. Jaime Harrison in South Carolina are two races of utmost importance. If Mitch McConnell and/or Lindsey Graham lose, it will not be good for the American people even if President Trump is re-elected. If Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win this upcoming election and the Republicans lose the Senate majority, the conservatives in this country will never again regain any semblance of control. Even now, many laws have been broken, and no one has had to answer for their crimes against this nation. My prayer is that God will once again, even more miraculously, intervene and keep the enemy at bay another four years for the sake of the millions of us who are against everything the Democrat Party stands for, such as its total hatred for God Himself. God says in Romans 1:24-25 that we have become so corrupt He has given us over to our own sinful desires. We are heaped in decadence and despise the Truth. Humanism (love of self), materialism (love of money) and hedonism (love of self) are our lifestyle. “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.” God says in Romans 1:26-27 that we still have not repented and have become even more corrupt. Since we prefer the sewers of perverted sexual practices, He has pulled back His hand of protection again and left us to our own sins. “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” God says in Romans 1:28-32 that we have reached a point of no return. Our hearts have become so black with sin, there is no evil we would shun. Therefore, He has allowed us to hang ourselves with our own corruption. “Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” Each time God has backed off and allowed us to crawl deeper into our cesspool, and we have willingly obliged. If these verses don’t describe us to a T, then please tell me what does. We have gone well beyond God’s judgments of Romans 1:24-32. We have embraced every vile act known to man, and there is no end in sight for our degree of corruption. Our judgment as a nation is just as certain as it was for Babylon in the days of Daniel. Barack Obama is the most anti-God president this nation has ever had, but if Kamala Harris (I mean Joe Biden) becomes president, the gloves are off. The coup already in motion will be accelerated to the point we won’t even recognize this country as the one our forefathers established. When reading about the people of Judah being taken off to Babylon as slaves because of their sins against God, one thing sticks out in my mind, and that is that the innocent always suffer with the guilty. I’m sure there were some in Judah who were faithful to God bedsides Jeremiah and Baruch, but regardless, the innocent suffered right along with their evil leaders. However, there is one thing that I am absolutely certain of, and that is that God’s will, will be done. If He wants President Trump to continue four more years, it will happen, and there is no group that can stop it. On the other hand, if our Lord’s will is to allow the Democrats to have their way, it will be done. Whichever way it goes, it will go the way God has decided. “Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain” (Psalms 2:1-6). That King on Zion (in verse six) is none other than Jesus Christ, and His will, will be done. Yes, I do pray that God allows President Trump to win the election. He stands for conservative values, and he is the only president in my memory who has actually kept his word and done exactly what he promised. That is so unusual because we commonly just accept that all politicians are born with a “forked-tongue,” except he isn’t a politician, which is a breath of fresh air. As I have indicated previously, forget about politicians and political viewpoints. The real issue is about this nation’s rejection of the one true God, Jesus the Messiah. We are being judged as a nation, and it is going to get much worse, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel for us individually, and that Light is Jesus Christ. The following Scripture enlightens us to seven things God hates. “These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16-19). These are not the characteristics of a child of God, but they are a very clear picture of us as a nation. Every leader and every nation that has fallen on their knees before God has been blessed. Every leader and every nation that has picked a fight with God has been crushed in their rebellion. We are no exception. Our pride will be our downfall. But back to the individual … you and me. We can have joy in our hearts with Jesus in our life. We can have a home in Heaven that awaits us if Jesus is our Lord. Maybe, just maybe, our Lord will provide four more years of grace for those who love Him. If not, that’s okay. We will be blessed anyway as He walks by our side.
