How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!-Romans 10:15
We don't generally think of feet as beautiful. We might notice someone's eyes or their hair, but we don't generally say, "You have amazing feet!"
Yet the Bible says we can have beautiful feet. Romans 10:15 tells us, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" (NKJV). The word "beautiful" can be translated "lively." So in this verse, beautiful feet speak of something in full bloom. Think about a blossoming flower. That is the picture the apostle Paul paints here.
When you share the gospel, you're like a blossoming flower, a fragrant flower. What is more beautiful than flowers? They're such wonderful things to behold. When you engage someone in a conversation about Jesus Christ and share what God has done for you, you blossom. You come to life.
We must tell people they need to be saved. Earlier in Romans 10 Paul writes, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" (verse 14 NKJV).
If you want lively feet, if you want a spring in your step, then share the gospel. In fact, I honestly believe that a key to personal revival is to share your faith.
We shouldn't hoard the gospel; we should share it. And as we share this life-giving message with others, it's also a life-giving message to us. As we share what God has done for us and what God can do for those we speak with, it reminds us of all the things that have happened in our own lives. The gospel comes to life for us.
The primary way God chooses to reach nonbelievers is through the verbal articulation of the gospel.
