8-31-20 Rapture Ready News

Rapture Ready End Times News 31 Aug 2020 Published on: August 31, 2020 by RRadmin7 Heaven Or Hell: Can You Grasp The Concept Of FOREVER? Truly grasping the concept of forever is not quite as simple as establishing its biblical truth because it involves the question of time. Perhaps the simplest way of making sense of this subject (from a Christian point of view) is to postulate there are probably two or three different types of time. The first is what we experience in this life: solar or earth time. The second is what those who have died experience: a kind of spiritualized time. The third is the unique way God himself lives out His own divinity. We can’t even label this last category as “time” because it’s impossible for us to conceptualize the nature of God’s life. We can, however, get some idea of the spiritualized time of the dead. In both heaven and hell, human beings will know things, think things, decide things and do things. Peter the human cyborg’s mind-blowing journey to ‘che...

8-31-20 Daily Dig

Daily Dig for August 31 Nathan Beacom We live much of our lives, as the philosopher Matthew Crawford has pointed out, in a virtual world mapped over the hard, real one, falsely suggesting the ability of technology to magic away inconvenience. The best remedy for this is time in nature, getting scraped up and frustrated, falling in love with the flowers and bugs and rocks and trees and open sky. This should be central to the project of education, fitting young people with the knowledge and discipline to bear the awesome responsibility of living freely in a land of immense wealth and resources. More than the fear of some future calamity, which can be put out of mind until it is too late, conservation work must be motivated by attachment to what is beloved and known as home. Inspired to keep hiking? Read the rest of Nathan Beacom’s essay.

8-31-20 Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer for August 31 Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt You should think of us as Christ's servants, who have been put in charge of God's secret truths. The one thing required of such a servant is that he be faithful to his master. 1 Corinthians 4:1–2, TEV Dear Father in heaven, open our hearts to see and feel how our lives have been blest. Open our hearts to your blessings so that we may look forward in thankfulness and joy to what lies ahead. Grant that we may be faithful to what we have received from you and never again lose ourselves in the passing moment. May we hold to all you have brought to our hearts from eternity, that your name may be honored and our lives shaped anew in Jesus Christ. Give us courage to overcome the evils in life and to look with joy and confident expectation to the future, when the powers of your kingdom will be ever more clearly revealed. Amen.

8-31-20 Today in the Word

LEARNING FROM THE GREAT TEACHER Monday, August 31, 2020 | Revelation 1 April 2020 Today in the Word Daily Devotional MORE THAN A TEACHER Picture Day is an annual tradition in most schools. You might remember the excitement of choosing your favorite outfit, brushing your hair one final time before your official class photo. In each class picture, there is a teacher widely smiling, saying, “Here they are my world. My class!” Jesus Christ is our Great Teacher. Imagine for a moment a class photo where Jesus was the teacher. Who are His students from this month’s study? On the top row, we see Zacchaeus, head held high, ready to share his wealth. In the middle, we see Nicodemus telling his classmates, “You must be born again.” And there’s Peter at the side of the riser shouting, “I love you, Lord!” Standing in the front row is the Samaritan Woman smiling with thankfulness. The lessons Jesus taught them are part of life’s great lesson plan, designed by God. Why? Because Jesus is much more...

8-31-20 Daily Devotion

August 31, 2020 God Is Able Ephesians 3:20-21 Jesus knew what it was like to live with limited resources, to have others question His actions (Mark 3:21), and to be rejected by those He sought to serve (John 6:66). Yet in spite of such opposition, He didn’t let circumstances affect His trust in the Father. We’re called to follow Jesus’ example by believing that God is able to do what He’s promised. For instance, Hebrews 7:25 assures salvation for whoever requests forgiveness in the name of Jesus—His death on the cross satisfied the demands of divine justice for all our sins. God will pardon everybody who has genuine faith in His Son and will make each one a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). No matter what trouble someone may have caused, the Lord invites that person to draw near in faith and receive the gift of everlasting life. God also promises to establish in truth everyone who trusts in Him (Rom. 16:25). Through His Spirit and the Word, we start to see things as our Father does...

8-31-20 Getting Close

Getting Close :: By Daymond Duck Published on: August 30, 2020 by RRadmin7 Category:Daymond Duck, General Articles Blessings and thank you to everyone for your prayers, condolences and kind words during my wife’s illness and death. To date, more than 120 Gideon Bibles have been donated in Rachel’s memory, several people gave gifts to the Church mission fund, etc. God will use these blessings to harvest souls before the Rapture. One of the toughest things about Rachel’s 17 days in the hospital was that none of her family could visit her. It was as though we had forsaken her and left her to die alone. Many people have experienced this with loved ones in the hospital and nursing home. But it occurred to me that the Father had to forsake Jesus on the cross because He could not look upon our sin (Matt. 27:46), and that made the death of Jesus more horrible for Him. I am grieving deeply over my wife’s death, but I truly believe that her soul and spirit are in heaven, that God raised Jesus...

8-31-20 USA & Babylon/ USA in Prophecy: Is It Really There?

USA & Babylon/USA in Prophecy: Is It Really There? - By Ron Ferguson - https://www.raptureready.com/2020/08/19/usa-babylon-usa-in-prophecy-is-it-really-there-by-ron-ferguson/ Before you read this, I need to explain that I am not American but an outsider about 13/14,000 km away, but for 60 years I have tried to study the USA and what happens there. Don't be too hard on me! American Christians are concerned about the morality cliff over which the nation is plunging, and seek to identify with something biblical to explain what they see around them. The decline in the United States is on all fronts - church attendances are declining; lawlessness is becoming unstoppable; the rise of anarchists and radicals is most alarming; there is a breakdown in co-operative government; financial problems are escalating; Hollywood produces social agenda garbage; the quality of education and the curriculum are in freefall; crime rates are increasing; people are beginning to lose faith in and re...

8-31-20 The Astounding Partnership

The Astounding Partnership - By Hal Lindsey - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-8-26-2020/ In 1995, Timothy McVeigh put together a large mix of fertilizer, diesel fuel, and other chemicals in the back of a rented truck. He parked that truck in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, ignited two fuses, then got into a pre-positioned "getaway" car and left the scene. At 9:02 AM, the bomb went off, destroying the Murrah Building, damaging another 300 buildings in the vicinity, and killing 168 people including 19 children. That act pushed the United States went into a mode of hypervigilance against domestic terrorism, often focusing on military-style militia groups. On September 11, 2001 terrorists struck again. This time foreign terrorists hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, killing almost 3,000 people. The focus shifted to terror threats from abroad. And Americans came to a dramatic realization. We are not invincible. We are vulnerable. With...

8-31-20 The Most Miserable Place to Be

Daily Devotion: The Most Miserable Place to Be - by Greg Laurie -  www.harvest.org   Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me . . . that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.-Romans 15:30, 32   Let's be honest. When someone says God has been talking to them, we get a little suspicious and sometimes even a little concerned.   Does God really talk to us? Does the Lord speak to us? And if so, how can we learn to know the voice of God? How can we know the will of God?   We all need direction in life. We all have to make decisions that we need God's input on, such as whom we'll marry or what career we should pursue. But I think we have one of two views about God's will that are not quite accurate.   The first view is that finding God's will is really hard. We thin...

8-31-20 Contempt of Congress

Daily Jot: Contempt of Congress - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com     In John 13:34, Christ said, "A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." Certainly, Christ was talking to his followers, those who know and love God because if you love God you will also love others. This doesn't mean that you have to always agree with them. But it lays out a guideline of respect, and respect is a product of love. What we have seen in America from the leadership of the Democratic Party is nothing but contempt for its political foes and any good news that benefits fellow humankind. They are the first to criticize Christian values, the first to claim they follow God, and the first to level utter contempt for anything good.     While it may seem that I am picking only on Democrats, it is the Democratic Party leadership that is demonstrating this contempt for America, Americans, Christ...

8-31-20 A Closer Look at the Rapture Part 2

A Closer Look at the Rapture (Part II) - A.V. Rauf - https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2020/02/09/a-closer-look-at-the-rapture-part-ii/   As we continue with this series, we must understand the importance of the eternal nature as well as the temporal nature of redemption. When we are "born-again," our old self is crucified and we are redeemed to both go to Heaven and to reign with Christ in the Millennium. Yet while on earth, which is our temporal abode, we all fulfill a purpose in this temporal life on this temporal earth. This is done collectively as the body of Christ so that we can ultimately facilitate the coming of the future kingdom. Our navigation device on this earth is the Holy Bible itself:   II Timothy 3:16-17-All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.   ...
