In recent decades, we have developed a wide array of powerful methods, such as genetic engineering and brain-machine interfaces, that are redefining our humanity. In the short run, such enhancement technologies have medical applications and may be used to treat many diseases and disabilities. Additionally, in the coming decades, they could allow us to boost our physical abilities or even digitize human consciousness.

Her statement Tuesday followed a demand from Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas for a peace conference later this year. He then left, before Haley spoke. “I will not shut up rather I will respectfully speak some hard truths,” Haley said. Her comments, she said, were addressed to Abbas even though he had fled. “Our negotiators are sitting right behind me, ready to talk,” she told Abbas. “But we will not chase after you.
Feds face new demands to probe Hillary Clinton
Two new lawsuits have been filed demanding answers from the “deep state bureaucracy” to questions about what went on under the Obama administration. The lawsuits, one against the FBI and the Department of Justice, and another against the U.S. Department of Justice, the Department of State, the FBI and the Treasury Department, were filed by the public interest American Center for Law and Justice.

The federal judge assigned to the criminal case against Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has ordered Special Counsel Robert Mueller to turn over any “exculpatory evidence” to Flynn’s defense team. Oddly, however, Flynn’s legal team did not make this request. Instead, Judge Emmet G. Sullivan issued the order “sua sponte,” or at his discretion, invoking the “Brady Rule”

US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace team briefed members of the UN Security Council on their plan to jumpstart negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians on Tuesday. Venezuela has launched a cryptocurrency in an attempt to bypass tough economic sanctions imposed by the US government. The “Petro” is intended to bolster the country’s crumbling economy, which has been suffering from hyperinflation and devaluation for years. Japan plans to buy at least 20 additional F-35A stealth fighters over the next six years, some or all of which it may purchase directly from Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N) in the United States rather than assemble locally, three sources said. “In view of budgets and production schedules a new acquisition of around 25 planes is appropriate,” said one of the sources with knowledge of the plan.
Abbas Calls For ‘Multilateral’ Effort to Establish Palestinian State
Mahmoud Abbas called for a multilateral initiative from the international community to bring about the establishment of a Palestinian state, during an address to the United Nations (UN) Security Council on Tuesday. “To solve the Palestine question, it is essential to establish a multilateral international mechanism emanating from an international conference and in line with international law and the relevant resolutions,” Abbas claimed. Effectively, Abbas was calling for the international community to replace the United States as the primary mediator between Israel and the Palestinians.

Syria’s Ghouta residents ‘wait to die’ as bombs fall
