That’s Because Lies Are… Lies :: By Dave Hubley

(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)

There is an occasional piece of real encouragement to be found online.

https://www.infowars.com/posts/surprising-surge-of-young-americans-turn-to-religion/

It doesn’t surprise me that it is a link by INFOWARS from ZeroHedge.

It also doesn’t surprise me that this kind of story doesn’t show up on “mainstream” media.

So, why are many of our young people turning to God?

Lest anyone should presume that it depends on which “god” they are turning to: If they are truly seeking Truth, then the Holy Spirit will see to it that they are led to the One True Living God through Jesus Christ, the Name that is above all names!

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Could it be that when our young people (and I’m hopeful, many “oldsters” and “tweeners” also) take the time to use the cognitive reasoning skills that our Creator God blessed them with and confront the abject failure of “humanism,” “progressivism,” and “hubris,” the Three Great Lies, and allow their spirit to respond to His love and tenderness, that their eyes start to open to the Truth?

When they see the direction that this evil trinity is taking people, their heart, soul, and mind becomes unshackled to respond to God’s Truth.

That is when the grip that the father of lies has on them begins to slip away!

“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

It is then that the taste of genuine freedom begins to have its effect in their lives, and Jesus Christ can become real to them.

  • After walking in darkness, they become subject to the Light of the Gospel.
  • And they see that darkness is given over to Light.

That is when the presence of true wisdom and discernment begins to meld with the Spirit, who, if Jesus is made Lord of their lives, begins to indwell their heart and soul.

“Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). Emphasis added by me.

It is then that they begin to understand just how much Jesus gave on the cross for them personally, the price He willingly paid for their life even though they had once rejected Him.

Maybe you will think I’m being a little corny or old-fashioned (I am 71, after all), but the lyrics to this historical song reveal an ancient and enduring Truth.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on. (Emphasis added by me), (Reality added by God).
The Battle Hymn of the Republic
Lyrics by Julia Ward Howe, 1861

His Truth IS marching on as it always has, but now the contrast between His Truth and the lies of humanism and hubris has become more obvious than ever.

“Progressive” and contemporary don’t seem to be working to any good purpose.

But they do work together to boost anxiety, uncertainty, and fear.

Maybe we should all get a little corny and old-fashioned.

From the linked article:

Believing in God “gives you a reason for living and some hope,” said Becca Bell, an 18-year-old college student from Peosta, Iowa.

Well, right you are, Becca Bell from Peosta, Iowa!

Right you are.

The special message I promised you:

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.

You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.

It requires that you come before God on His terms.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.

“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
