Changes Coming from SCOTUS :: By Murray Lorance Published on: June 30, 2022 by Admin10 Category:General Articles What’s the great ‘Right’ at stake here? We are all expecting a tsunami of sharp reactions. No matter which way the ruling comes down, and no matter the specifics and limitations, there will be strident responses. What to do? First, remember that our God is in ultimate control. Right through the last chapter of Jesus’ personally dictated Book of Revelation (Ch22), He describes the righteous and the unrighteous and announces His reward system. He will prevail! Scripture confirms itself – II Tim 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” God’s word will come to pass. Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” These are perilous times. It has been said, “Normal is not coming back – Jesus is!” Ephesians chapter 6 warns us of who and what we are really standing against. Complete armor is listed in verses 14-17. Your weapon is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Use it first and always. Also, we have His promise in Romans 8:28. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Now, having all these truths, consider the lament of Job. At his very lowest ebb, when his wife told him in Ch 2:9 to curse God and die, he considered what would be his condition had he not survived birth. Job 3: 3-16, 19 “Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it. As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months. Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein. Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning. Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day: Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes. “Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly? Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck? For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves; Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver: Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light…. The small and great are there, and the slave is free…. Read the full chapter (through verse 26). It becomes clear that the unsurviving child goes to spiritual rest, having avoided the usual pangs of physical crisis – joining all others, small and great. Again, our Lord is in control, and Christ’s ministry repeatedly sought and had compassion on the little ones. Yes, we mourn the bitter loss and fear the great condemnations of God against the outright killing of little ones. Read Leviticus 20:2-5 to comprehend His righteous anger against those who destroy a little living soul. We must continue to be champions for the sanctity of life! We don’t take vengeance; God reserves that authority in Romans 12:19. But again, God is all-powerful and ushers these little ones into eternity. Be solaced with that mindset, and keep praying for more souls to repent, believe, and accept His forgiveness, His salvation – in Christ alone (John 14:6). Redemption soon comes!
