Sky Language
Johann Christoph Blumhardt
For all its silence, the sky has a language. Without any words the stars speak many things right into our hearts. They tell of God’s omnipotence, his wisdom, his loving care; they tell of his fathomless infinity, yet they also give us a sense of how very close and friendly he is. He seems distant, because he is so great, and on the other hand he seems near, looking on us as he does, through the eyes of the heavens.
