6-29-21 According to the Bible

According to the Bible - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/06/27/according-to-the-bible-by-daymond-duck/ One, according to the Bible, there will be a one-world religion headed up by someone called the False Prophet during the Tribulation Period. In Feb. 2019, Pope Francis and a Muslim Sheikh, Ahmed al-Tayeb, signed an agreement called the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace. The purpose of this document is to merge the religions to create world peace. Francis and the Imam established a Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to bring together people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and nationalities. The committee met twice in Sept. 2019. They announced plans to build a complex called the “Abrahamic Family House” in Abu Dhabi. Plans called for the “Abrahamic Family House” to have a church, a mosque and a synagogue (separate places for Christians, Muslims and Jews to worship) and a fourth place for people of all religions to come together as one body. ...

6-28-21 Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer for June 28 Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his sons. For creation was condemned to lose its purpose, not of its own will, but because God willed it to be so. Yet there was the hope that creation itself would one day be set free from its slavery to decay and would share the glorious freedom of the children of God. Romans 8:19–21, TEV Lord God, we thank you for all you reveal in your creation so that our lives may be fruitful. Reveal your wisdom and strength among people everywhere so that death and destruction do not have their way, but your will, your love, your mercy shall prevail. Let our age learn that power belongs to you and not to men, and that you will at last fulfill all your promises of good. Your day of justice and holiness will break in, and all misery will be removed through your great mercy. Watch over us as you have done till this hour, and keep us safe during the night. Be present and carry out your ...

Can masculinity be good? Josh Seligman A recent Plough article encouraged men to emulate Jesus’ “manly virtues” of compassion, humility, and purpose. But what it is that makes those virtues manly? “What distinguishes positive masculinity from a positive femininity?” writes one reader. “What outlook and behaviors, if any, are specifically ‘masculine’?” writes another.

6-28-21 Today in the Word

THIS IS MY FATHER'S WORLD My family enjoys watching nature shows together. It is stunning to see the diversity of animals and habitats that exist in the world. While most science shows do not give God the credit for creation, watching them often leads my family to have conversations about how creative and powerful our God is. The author of Psalm 104 would have made a good scientist. He carefully observes many aspects of the created world in order to praise God. He observes the water cycle. He recognizes that rain sustains the life of animals and makes crops grow (vv. 10–14). The water cycle is not an impersonal process, but rather evidence of God’s faithfulness and kindness. The author notices that some animals come out and hunt in the night and sleep during the day, while people work during the day and sleep at night (vv. 19–23). Everything has its proper time and place. The ocean is still unexplored in many places. And, on occasion, the news will report of a new species that’s ...

June 28, 2021 The Secret of Contentment Philippians 4:4-13 Does it surprise you that Paul wrote today’s passage when he was in prison? He didn’t know what his future held—whether he’d be freed or punished or killed—but he had learned to be content in all circumstances, good or bad. How many of us can make that claim? It’s not uncommon to feel discontentment when we cannot control our situation. And as long as our satisfaction depends on whether certain things work out, circumstances will continue to steal our peace. Paul was not saying that we’ll never experience anxiety or frustration again; rather, what matters is how we respond when those feelings grip us. This is something Paul had to learn. He endured tremendous suffering, from shipwrecks and hunger to unjust imprisonment and beatings (2 Corinthians 11:24-30). He knew as well as anyone that situations can be painful and seemingly hopeless. But he finally discovered that true contentment came from Jesus, not the situation he fou...

6-28-21 Necessity of a Literal Understanding of Prophecy

Necessity of…a Literal Understanding of Prophecy :: By Jonathan Brentner Published on: June 25, 2021 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles Necessity of Teaching a Literal Understanding of Prophecy Why do so many believers today remain blind to the numerous signs that we live in the last days? I believe a key reason for this lies with pastors and teachers today who in large numbers embrace amillennialism, a belief system that dismisses biblical prophecies related to Jesus’ thousand-year rule and the restoration of a kingdom for Israel. As a result, they regard the miraculous emergence of Israel as a nation as mere coincidence without any prophetic significance. It stands to reason that if one dismisses the most significant piece of God’s prophetic calendar, the miracle of Israel’s current existence, one will also miss all the many other signs that tell us we live in the season of Jesus’ appearing to take His church back to His Father’s house. Scoffers claim that those of us with a b...

6-28-21 Darkness or Light?

Darkness or Light - Nathele Graham - twotug@embarqmail.com "The night is far spent the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying." Romans 13:12-13. We take many things for granted that are, in reality, blessings from God. Take light, for instance. We assume that the sun will come up every morning, and warm the earth, help plants grow, and allow us to see any obstacles that might trip us. It will set in the evening and darkness will come over the earth, and with it, coolness and the lesser light of the moon and the stars. The moon is only a reflection of the sun’s light. If you’re blessed to live where the artificial lights of the world don’t cover them, you can see millions of stars that glitter in the darkness. What a beautiful sight to see. Darkness does have a certain kind of beaut...

6-28-21 What's Your Temperature?

Daily Devotion: What’s Your Temperature? - by Greg Laurie – www.harevst.org And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. —Matthew 24:12 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/whats-your-temperature/ - Listen If you’re not feeling well, one of the first things your doctor typically does is take your temperature. Why? Because your temperature indicates the state of your health. In the same way, your spiritual temperature indicates your spiritual health. The Bible gives us only three categories: icy cold, miserably lukewarm, or burning hot. First, there’s icy cold. Jesus said of the end times, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12 NKJV). This is basically someone who has a heart like stone. It would describe nonbelievers who have no interest in the things of God. They just don’t care. Next, there’s miserably lukewarm. Believe it or not, this spiritual temperature is actually more offensive to Jesus than i...

6-28-21 First of Four Views of God

First of Four Views of God :: By Bill Pierce Published on: April 4, 2021 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles Text: Psalm 18:21-26 GOD’S UNIVERSAL LAW An allegory of men’s lives on earth — “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” (Galatians 6:7-8). Many times, the LORD uses allegories to signify men and nations, their principal actions, and the results of those actions. For example, God refers to the nation of Israel as a “flock” (Jeremiah 23:2; 31:10), as “sheep” (Micah 2:12), and as a “vine” (Psalm 80:8; Isaiah 5:2; Jeremiah 6:9). In his declaration of the law of sowing and reaping, God uses the allegory of a man sowing [planting] seed in a garden or a field and reaping [gathering or receiving] the suitable crop. The law of sowing and reaping relates to the many actions of men and the inev...

Or, am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 2:4; “But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.” (James 3:1 says that those who teach the word will be judged by greater strictness.) John 12:43; “For they loved the glory that comes from man, more than the glory that comes from God.” John 5:44; “How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another, and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?” Galatians 2:20; “I have b...

6-28-21 The Comforter

The Comforter :: By Nathele Graham Published on: April 4, 2021 by RRadmin7 Category:General Articles, Ron & Nathele Graham The Holy Spirit has been at work from the very beginning of time. We know of the Holy Trinity, but we talk more about God the Father and God the Son. It seems we know little about God the Holy Spirit. The first mention of God is in the first verse of Scripture. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:1-2). The word “God” comes from the Hebrew word Elohim, which is a plural masculine noun. In Hebrew, a plural is at least three. In this verse, the structure is such that it is a plural used as singular, indicating God in three persons… the Trinity. After all things were in place for mankind, God created Adam and took Eve from him to be a helper and companion. After they were evicted, Adam and Eve...

6-28-21 No Ordinary Meal

Daily Devotion: No Ordinary Meal - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ —Luke 22:19 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/no-ordinary-meal/ - Listen When Jesus gathered His disciples together in the Upper Room, they didn’t know it was the Last Supper. He didn’t say, “The Last Supper is officially beginning. Take your seat behind this table right here, and let’s all sit on one side.” That isn’t the way it was. They had a lot of meals together, meals that would have lasted for hours around a table that was low to the ground. There would have been times of fun, laughter, and even some profound moments. However, the meal that day wasn’t like any other meal. Jesus wasn’t acting as He normally did. There was a heaviness, a seriousness, about Him. Holding the bread and breaking it, Jesus said, “This is My body which is given for you; do thi...

6-27-21 Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer for June 27 Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15–16, NIV Lord God, help us to be holy as you are holy, and free us from all the earthly things that try to torment us. Grant us your Spirit so that we do what is right. May we always hold your hand confidently. Protect your children everywhere on earth, and help them do what is right even if the whole world does what is wrong. Help us, so that all we do becomes holy and pleasing in your sight. Let your grace grow among us and among the nations, and let your hand be strong to bring in your day, your day when everything is made new. May your name be kept holy, your kingdom come, and your will be done on earth as in heaven. Amen.

Believe to the End Fyodor Dostoyevsky If everyone abandons you and even drives you away by force, then when you are left alone fall on the earth and kiss it, water it with your tears, and it will bring forth fruit even though no one has seen or heard you in your solitude. Believe to the end, even if all people went astray and you were left the only one faithful; bring your offering even then and praise God in your loneliness. And if two of you are gathered together – then there is a whole world, a world of living love. Embrace each other tenderly and praise God, for, if only in you two, his truth has been fulfilled.
