The dollar tumbled to a near 15-year low against sterling yesterday on fresh signs of economic trouble in the United States. An 8.3pc crash in US industrial orders and an admission by the Federal Reserve chairman that Washington does not know how bad housing really is set off another day of wild gyrations on the currency markets. Ben Bernanke The Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke said Washington did not know how bad a state the American housing market was in US house prices fell 3.5pc to an average $221,000, the third month of declines. AMERICA -STILL BLESSED BY GOD

America – still blessed by God - Hal Lindsey - www.hallindsey.com Thanksgiving tradition says that the first day of Thanksgiving was when the Pilgrims came together to give thanks to God for the bountiful harvest of 1621. The colonists, according to tradition, celebrated with a Thanksgiving feast, also attended by 91 Indians who helped them through their first year. Two years later, the colonists gathered during a severe drought to pray for rain. When it rained the very next day, Gov. William Bradford called for another day of Thanksgiving. Thereafter, there were numerous calls for national days of Thanksgiving. Following our miraculous victory in the Revolutionary War, George Washington proclaimed the first national day of Thanksgiving in 1789. It wasn't until 1863 that President Lincoln officially designated the last Thursday in November as a national day of Thanksgiving. It took almost a hundred more years before Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday by an Act of Congress...

COMING ATTRACTIONS IN WORLD AFFAIRS

Coming Attractions In World Affairs - Jack Kelley - www.gracethrufaith.com Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." (Psalm 2:1-3) At the prophetic level, the results of the recent US election make perfect sense. Think about it. The Bush Administration's vision for the Middle East was a string of robust democracies from Lebanon to Iraq with leaders chosen in free elections enjoying the popular support of newly prosperous citizens who after generations of oppression feel like they're finally in control of their own destinies, and who desire nothing more than to live at peace with their neighbors. You can almost taste the sense of freedom and dignity they'd all enjoy. Kind of like the US was sixty or so years ago. If President bush had been able to maintai...

THE DAYS OF BABYLON ARE NOW NUMBERED

The Days of Babylon are now numbered - Jerry Golden - www.thegoldenreport.com With the election results the days of fighting against the murder of millions of unborn babies are over or the right for homosexuals to marry and call themselves families. We can now expect many Federal Liberal Judges to be appointed to further corrupt the system. Like Abraham a handful of God's called men and women have been begging America to wake up and see what has been happening to her. But like Sodom and Gomorrah America has been so consumed in its sins to hear the cry from God to repent before it was too late. With the perversion and pure filth that comes into your homes by way of TV that has polluted the minds and hearts of your children as well as the parents. Could anyone reading this tell me of one member of the ACLU who isn't a Democrat? Or is it safe to state that nearly all if not all of those in favor of Gay Marriages and abortions are Democrats. We now see that those in power in the US...

PROPHECIES AND POLITICS

Prophecies and politics - By Chrissie Thompson - www.washingtontimes.com Joel Rosenberg attracted world attention when the events described in three of his fiction books began to occur in real life. Mr. Rosenberg has now drawn on his Christian faith, Orthodox Jewish heritage and experience as an aide to former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his newest book, "Epicenter: Why the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future." The following are excerpts from telephone interview with the author: Q. Three of your fiction books have seemed almost prophetic. For instance, "The Last Jihad" contained a story of hijackers using a jet in a kamikaze attack on an American city, which leads to a war with Saddam Hussein over weapons of mass destruction -- and you wrote it before September 11. Did you mean for these stories to be predictions? A. I didn't particularly think that these novels were going to predict the future, per se. I had based the s...
