8-8-20 The New Impeachment Bombshell

Daily Jot: The new impeachment bombshell - Bill Wilson -

One of the most biased media along with CNN regarding impeaching the president (translated: coup) is Associated Press. It is amazing how this "news" organization twists words and what it considers facts into a diatribe for impeachment. The latest is a story about an associate of President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, providing new information proving that Trump delivered an ultimatum to the Ukraine President if an investigation into Joe Biden wasn't pursued. The story acts as if this is the silver bullet that will bring down the Trump presidency once and for all. It's also the pre-Senate trial "bombshell" that the Democratic coup-makers promised would turn the impeachment trial on end. It's a fake news dud.

AP reports: "A close associate of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer says he delivered an ultimatum in May to the incoming president of Ukraine that no senior U.S. officials would attend his inauguration and all American aid to the war-torn country would be withheld if an investigation into Joe Biden wasn't announced. Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani, made several potentially explosive claims in a televised interview Wednesday night with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. The day after Parnas said he delivered the message, the State Department announced that Vice President Mike Pence would no longer be attending the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskiy."

Buried in the story is this: "President Trump knew exactly what was going on," said Parnas, a Soviet-born Florida businessman facing a raft of criminal charges related to campaign finance violations. "He was aware of all my movements. I wouldn't do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani, or the President." If true, Parnas' account undercuts a key Republican defense of Trump deployed during the ongoing impeachment fight - that Trump's withholding of vital military aid to Ukraine last summer wasn't a quid pro quo for Biden investigations because Zelenskiy didn't know the money was being held up." Key is that this guy, Parnas, is a "Soviet-born Florida businessman facing a raft of criminal charges related to campaign finance violations." And then AP couches its sensational veracity with a qualifier, "If true..." Credibility?

This is an outrageous attempt to "fake" the American people into believing just one more terrible account of an ultimatum by the president against Joe Biden. But let's pause for a second and gather some discernment. First, the investigation was about Biden's son, not Joe Biden. Second, there is nothing illegal about a president withholding aid or not sending a representative to the inauguration of a foreign dignitary. Third, the aid was not unreasonably withheld; it was given. Fourth, the media is quoting a "Soviet" born source with criminal charges as credible. This story is as flimsy as the impeachment and is more the same. As in Hebrews 5:14, be a person who seeks strong meat "who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." In this, you will recognize those who deceive with misdirection and vain words
