The argument that the US president’s speech harms the peace process is baseless, as there is no peace process going on.

The move follows President Donald Trump’s announcement on Wednesday that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. According to the report, the government would promote the construction of 5,000 housing units in Atarot, in addition to a new neighborhood in the area which is being promoted by the Jerusalem municipality.
