PROPHECY UPDATE - News & Information for the End Times
Greetings,
Hi Folks,
It's been six months since I have sent out a "special message", I send these out occasionally when I feel the need. Folks as I'm sure you well know we are living in difficult times, as I read and study the Word of God and scan the prophetic horizon I can assure you that even harder, difficult and downright perilous times are ahead! I truly believe with all my heart that the current events in the Middle East and the recent devastating Earthquakes and Hurricanes are a wake up call to the World! The birth pangs that Jesus spoke of are beginning to become more apparent and we will witness even more destruction and devastation as the birth pangs intensify and become more frequent. The Middle East has always been a powder keg and the recent events have actually lit the fuse, only God knows how long the fuse is or how fast it will burn? To the believer all these things should come as no surprise, but the uninformed don't have a clue and they are desperately seeking answers! We have truly grown this past year; the amount of people visiting the web site and the amount of people subscribing to the Prophecy Update has almost doubled.
We were recently featured on MSNBC: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9731623 and this has significantly increased attention to the relevance of Bible prophecy and the times in which we live. We are truly thankful and blessed by all this added attention and I pray that the Lord would just continue to use this ministry for His Glory!
"For (nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Matthew 24:7-8
"There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:25-26
When I first started studying bible prophecy about 25 years ago there would be a prophetic headline or related news story a couple times a year and now there are so many daily prophetic related events that it boggles the mind and yet the world and even the majority of the body of Christ continues living as if they didn't have a care in the world. This in itself is proof that we truly are living in the Last Days!
..."As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." Matthew 24:37-42
And
"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these." 2Timothy 3:1-5
Folks we are living in the End Times, our time is short, let us make the time we have left count for all eternity. The Bible tells us which nations will be the major players in the End Times, and right on cue they are making their presence known. As the 'birth pangs' increase in intensity more people than ever before from around the world are seeking answers. More people than ever before are looking and searching for answers and I am sure as prophetic events continue to unfold at an accelerated pace, even more people will visit Prophecy Update looking for answers. We receive visitors from over 102 nations around the world and each month we break new records in the amount of hits that we receive to the website and subscribers to the free Prophecy Updates is at an all time high.
Folks as you know, we have the answer and the answer is Jesus Christ, but many if not the majority of the world's population walks around in total darkness, help Prophecy Update continue to be a beacon of light to the world!
With these thoughts in mind I want to take the time to thank of all you who subscribe to Prophecy Update and all of you who frequent the Prophecy Update website and take advantage of all the teaching resources that we have available and I do want you to take advantage of us! Thank you for your prayers and encouragement and financial support. Thank you for taking the time to forward the Updates to family and friends. Thank you all that use the Updates for teaching material and all that send in articles for posting. I do want to encourage you to forward us articles that you feel worthy enough to share with other readers!
First, above all things I ask that you continue to keep this ministry in your daily prayers, secondly I ask that you would prayerfully consider becoming a financial supporter of this ministry. Many of you are already monthly supporters but we need many more, monthly supporters are the backbone and foundation of this ministry. You would think with so many subscribers and visitors that I would never have to bring up the subject of giving. I do so reluctantly, but in reality only about 50 dear and precious Saints give to this ministry with any regularity and I can actually name them off in my head and I thank the Lord daily for them!
The updates and the web site are provided free so that no one can be denied access to the Word of God. I have been offered a lot of money to sale the web site, but I turned them down, I care too much! There is a charge to cover the cost of the teaching materials but even then we provide them free upon request. The web site is free of pop-up ads and commercial banners so that you can view the contents of the site without disturbance. We don't bombard you with offers and we don't plead and beg for money and tell you that we are going off the web if we don't get money. We don't have week long marathon fundraisers, nor do we have elaborate money raising schemes.
My prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray right now that you would touch the hearts of those that you would lift up to support this ministry and I pray that you would bless them and give them a heart and a fire and a passion to support this ministry. Lord Jesus I pray that you would bless them in return for their faithfulness beyond any measurable comprehension, wonderfully and abundantly exceeding any and all expectations! Lord Jesus I pray for those that already support this ministry through prayer and financial means that you would continue to bless them in the most amazing ways, that not only they would be blessed but also those whom you have surrounded them with! In Jesus Name...Amen!
